Hintergrund
Das Meilenprogramm Mileage Plan steht eigentlich nicht an der obersten Stelle von Vielfliegern in Deutschland & Europa. Jedoch besteht seit geraumer Zeit eine Partnerschaft mit Condor, die das Meilensammeln, besonders auf Flügen in der Business Class, attraktiv macht. Nähere Informationen findet Ihr einem separaten Artikel.
Da bei mir nun in den nächsten Monaten mindestens schon mal 2 Condor Business Class Flüge nach San Juan in Puerto Rico und Santo Domingo in der Dominikanischen Republik anstehen, habe ich mich zu Mileage Plan angemeldet. Zudem stellte ich mir die Frage, ob sich die Anzahl zu sammelnder Meilen erhöhen lässt, wenn man einen höheren Status über einen Status Match erhält.
Die Meilen, die man auf Business Class Flügen sammeln kann, setzen sich wie folgt zusammen:

Das Mileage Plan Program unterscheidet 3 verschiedene Status-Level:
- MVP
- MVP Gold
- MVP Gold 75k
Bereits in der niedrigsten Stufe erhält man 50% mehr Meilen bezogen auf die Basis Meilen. Bei den beiden anderen Stufen sind es 100% bzw. 125%. Um die die jeweilen Level zu erreichen benötigt man folgende Anzahl mit Meilen:

Mit einem Status Match könnte ich also schon auf dem ersten Flug die Höhte der Meilengutschrift positiv beeinflussen. Selbst bei einem Match auf die niedrigste Stufe MVP, wären das 350% der geflogen Meilen.
Wie funktioniert es?
Nach der Anmeldung zum Milage Plus Program, schickt man eine Email meiner seiner Mitgliedsnummer, einer Kopie seiner Vielflieger-Karte, in meinem Fall der Lufthansa Senator Karte + einen Auszug seines Meilenkontos an elite.flyer@alaskaair.com.
Nach nur wenigen Sekunden erreichte nicht folgende automatisierte Email:

Please allow 2-4 weeks for processing once we have received your documents. When your Tier Match is complete, you’ll receive a welcome email and can check your status at alaskaair.com/myaccount. Please note that Tier Matches may only be granted once during the life of your account and the status is valid through 12/31/2017. To retain status beyond the expiration date, the usual tier qualification requirements must be achieved by 12/31/2017. If you would like to wait and re-apply on or after October 1st at that time we will honor status through the following year. Also note, we only offer a Tier Match for: AeroMexico, Air Canada, American, Delta, Frontier, Hawaiian, Jet Blue, Southwest and United.

Sieht also ganz so aus, als wenn Star Alliance Partner, außer Air Canada und United von dem Status Match ausgeschlossen sind. Ich warte mal die nächsten Wochen ab, die das Ergebnis endgültig aussieht.
